Summary
Shenzhen Wanyang Gifts produced about 50,000 antique-bronze, double-magnet zinc-alloy badges (Ø40 mm) for an overseas brand's product-launch gift set. The order moved from sample approval to packing in under four weeks in spring 2025 (March–April), using parallel molds and piece-by-piece rack plating. (This is a separate order from the 2,000-pc batch shown on the case-study summary card.)
Challenge
The brand needed a badge that looked understated rather than shiny, could be worn on thick clothing without pins piercing fabric, and could be made in one large run on a short timeline.
Solution
- Material & size: Zamak 3 zinc alloy, Ø40 mm, 3.0 mm (±0.2 mm) thick.
- Finish: The first sample was antique gold; after feedback it was changed to matte antique bronze. Anti-oxidation lacquer was omitted at the client's request to keep the matte look.
- Back: two magnets instead of a pin.
- Process: die casting, trimming, polishing, then rack plating piece by piece (not barrel plating) to reduce scratches.
- Capacity: about 6 molds × ~4 cavities each ran in parallel.
- QC: 100% inspection before plating, ~5% sampling after plating, 100% final inspection before packing.
- Packaging: OPP bag + paper box (or as specified by the client).

FAQ
Why choose antique bronze over antique gold?
It gives a matte, aged look and shows fingerprints and fine scratches less. Confirm it on a physical sample.
Are magnets strong enough for coats?
It depends on badge weight, fabric thickness and magnet spec. Test magnets on a real sample before mass production.
